If you want to make a challenging and exciting start to your flying career, become a flight instructor. We offer full time professional instructor rating courses spanning 3 months. You will learn advanced principles of flight, teaching and delivery methods and undergo intensive flight training.

If you are perusing an airline career, instructing is the best way to build up your flying hours to make you more employable.

The course pre requisite is a New Zealand commercial pilot’s licence.

Instructor rating includes:

	25hrs dual training
	50hrs PIC time (time required 150hrs PIC)
	Instructional techniques training course
	Spinning training
	Principles of flight and aerodynamics

Most instructors when finished this course are employed directly into Air New Plymouth or other flight schools throughout New Zealand.
